Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to set up, operate and adjust multi-headed machines to dress timber in a timber processing facility. Work also involves evaluating and monitoring dressing conditions and processes and operator maintenance. The unit applies to individuals who work as operators of multi-headed machines for dressing timber. Operators generally work under broad or limited direction to complete routine activities related to their own work, and take responsibility for their work.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
